We recommend Element as the matrix client to access the CIM Matrix server. You can either install the Element application to your device (available on most platforms), or you can use the web interface available at: https://element.cim.mcgill.ca/

If using the app, you will need to manually set your homeserver address with the following instructions:

When you open Element, you'll need to sign into the CIM matrix server You will need to tell Element which server to join by changing the url of the home server Set the homeserver url to matrix.cim.mcgill.ca You can then sign in with your CIM matrix username and password. Once logged in, you'll want to join the CIM space by clicking the + icon Select Search for public spaces And select the Centre for Intelligent Machines Space And click Join to add the space to your client
